The human animal is a creature that has always searched for products that either altered their perceptions or expanded their minds. Our evolution depends on it, has always depended on it. The levels of art, theory, science, and social structure would have never reached the heights they have today without them. Most individuals who are on the forefront of technology have tripped out before. Now, of course there is abuse and you can do more harm than good if you lose control.

Its all about survival of the fittest. The humans that have been able to cope with the chemicals put before them have prospered. Sure crack and heroin are highly addictive and dangerous escapist drugs. But they thin the herd of all the weak individuals who can't handle their shit. Alcohol is also a fine escapist drug, and it has many other uses, relaxing, pain killing, courage inducing. Of course if you can't stay in control then your genetics are inferior, and it'll either kill you or you'll have to sit back and watch others enjoy it. Marijuana, which while is not physically addictive, I have personally seen and lived with individuals who can't really cope without being stoned most of the day. That's the lamest shit ever. Here's a non-addictive substance that if you don't over do it makes life funny, pleasant, and interesting, then you turn it into a habitual ritual that you must have in order to face the world = dumb. And while I would never suggest someone constantly take LSD, Shrooms, Mesculin, MDMA, or other psychotropic substances, they definitely will open up your mind like nothing else. There is no better way to learn about yourself, your universe, and how you fit into it, then a peyote trip. Course, if your an idiot, you'll overdose, and then you'll cluck like a chicken for the rest of your life.

Now people that never try any substance because they don't want to lose control, afraid of what they'll find out, think they are playing into the man's hands, believe they can achieve a higher state of being naturally, yadda yadda straight edge bullshit are just as inferior as the addict. Humans and mind alteration go hand in hand. Fucking hell, sugar, salt, aspirin, caffeine, chocolate, turkey fat, chlorophyll, oxygen, water, sex all involve chemical changes that alter your brain, maybe not as intensly as a phenethylamine, but still do it. Get on the train you poser if your not a punk, and if your too weak to handle it, then die or become a wasted shell. Thats why straight edge people don't imbibe, because they know they are probably too weak to take the next step in evolution. Scared trembling little weaklings.

The future of humanity is intrinsically connected to chemicals and technology. When's the last time you were in a home without a phone, much less a television or computer. How many people do you know with glasses, contacts, false teeth, canes, implants, wheelchairs, hearing aids, medicine (drugs), all bits of technology needed for those people to cope. If you purchase anything, ride in or on any transportation device, wear clothes and shoes, utilize agriculture (eat food), you are part of the big human technological world and any gaps are quickly narrowing.

The planet is doomed. There is no god or afterlife. Without being able to embrace the technological/chemical fusion necessary to get us off this planet and possibly colonize other worlds, humanity is headed for the trash heap. I pity those who can't handle what's coming, much less what's already here. If your an addict or an abstainer admit what you are, weak and afraid. And don't pose as if what you are doing is noble, because all your really doing is trying to stave off the inevitable, that you and your genes are not long for the impending storm, and all traces of you will be forever wiped from existence.
