I've been asked in a leading manner what I think of Guiliani now. Historically I have always been quick to show my contempt for the mayor. And after his performance during the crisis I would like to say that he is a shit eating fascist nazi asshole. Fuck Guiliani. Anyone, and I mean anyone, could have stood up in front of the country and seemed to be great in the face of the shitstorm that descended on the city.

He still promoted racial profiling among the police force. He once released a memo that stated that he was forming his own personal "army" that could "shut down the city whenever he needed to." His response or solution to the fact that four of his cops emptied their entire clips into an unarmed and innocent Amadou Diallo? Give them more powerful guns and more destructive bullets so the people they shoot go down faster. He created the atmosphere that allowed Abner Louima to get raped visciously in the ass with a plunger by one of New York's finest. And then defended the bastard by insisting we the common people don't understand the pressures of being a cop.

He made it a crime to be homeless. Arresting people for panhandling or the simple fact that they had no where to go. Shoved them into a harsh prison.

Where once pot was seen as a harmless activity by the cops, who turned a blind eye to it, knowing that pot smokers are the most peaceful group in the city. Now there is a hard core, skull cracking, task force whose focus is to specifically target marijuana. Which in turn created an seedy underground marijuana culture, where pot selling turf is protected with gunplay.

Declared that all street artists are to be harassed and even thrown in jail for displaying their work on the sidewalk.

Decided that in every turn he would favor the perception of the tourist over the realities of the inhabitants of the city. Making this a sanitized city, impossible for the lower class to survive, and therefore be unseen by the visitors. Constantly heaping discomfort on those that live here for the benefit of interlopers, and told that we have to eat it with a shovel.

Closed down dozens of communtiy gardens. No regard for the fact that the people who lived there turned empty lots into something not only a delight to the eye, but also added green to a city that desperately needs it. Not to mention the oxygen the plants made. All in favor of greedy real estate moguls building overpriced apartments.

Threatened all the newspapers on any articles or editorials that put him in a negative slant that they would be subject to scrutiny and fines. As well as giving them difficulties with delivery routes and vending machines. Also made personal threats to the journalists of said articles.

Dug up a turn of the century law declaring that no establishment can allow dancing without a permit. And then making it almost impossible for any place to have both a liquor and dancing license. Dancing license!?! We can be arrested for dancing in non designated areas.

He outlawed owning snakes, ferrets, lizards and other innocous creatures. Actually forcing people to dispose of their pets. Putting them to sleep by court order if they were found delinquent.

Redirected public school funds so that private ( Catholic ) schools benefit. Suggesting that people should start sending their children to Catholic schools to be educated properly instead of attempting to fix the public schools.

Increased taxi medalion rates, as well as inflicted new and harsh fines on cabbies that almost no one could avoid. Cabbies have to work extra long hours to squeak by, creating tired and angry drivers to fill the streets. No small reason due to the fact the majority of cab drivers are not of European descent.

During the million youth march he forced them into gated enclosures surrounded by armed and armoured police as well as plenty of horses. Immediately creating a hostile environment where a peaceful demonstration was the goal by all the organisers. Then harshly adhering to some time constraint, he shut down the rally with force harming children.

After a juevenile was killed while erroniously being accused of drug peddling by one of his pigs. He bucked the actual constitution by releasing the juevenile court records of the victim to the press to paint the kid as an animal in attempts to shove attention away from his mismanaged police force.

At every turn and opportunity using any authority and influence he has on destroying any rent control laws so that his real estate friends could benefit off the suffering of hard working renters.

Cracked down on jaywalking. Enforcing ridiculous fines, and creating closed off crosswalks to force foot traffic to his designs.
